Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Every day at work, our inspectors, auditors, and lab techs use their expertise to help safeguard the products you use every day in your home: from clothes and footwear to toys and baby products, to electronics, appliances, and furniture.

Our operations department’s purpose is to deliver our industry-leading services to our clients while ensuring that all the work we do is performed to the QIMA standard of quality

As a Food Quality Inspector, you will serve exclusively as a dedicated inspector for an assigned client and report directly to their Operation team. Your role will be integral to ensuring that all inspections are carried out in accordance with QIMA's standards of quality, aligning with the client's specific requirements and expectations.

Your main duties will revolve around quality inspections of our clients’ products.

Quality Management

  • Support the Operations Manager, India & South East Asia
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge to the client’s customers, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Implement arrival quality inspection programs to minimize fruit loss.

Quality Accruals & Claims

  • Monitor and report quality accruals for financial forecasting.
  • Calculate and manage claim payouts based on inspection data and market conditions.

Data Management

  • Compile and analyze arrival inspection data in Power BI format.
  • Share market quality data with the New Zealand Quality Assurance Team for inventory management.

Training and Audits

  • Train inspection and distributor teams on client’s standards.
  • Conduct distributor assessments biannually and follow up on audit points.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Possess a college degree or above in in food and postharvest technology or related fields.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in quality and operations management, preferably in the chilled and perishable food and beverage industry
  • Strong command over English
  • Open for travelling to other cities in Vietnam (Ha Noi and Da Nang).
  • Knowledge of AQL standards, as well as relevant safety and quality regulations.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good in Microsoft Excel and technology inclined.
  • Good interpersonal skills, superior relating and networking abilities (external stakeholders) with a world-class customer focus and proven track record of consistently identifying and meeting customer needs.
