  • Perform balance-sheet reconciliations and analyses for assigned entities; review and approve reconciliations prepared by direct reports.
  • Manage the annual audit process (local, statutory, and group) and liaise with external auditors to ensure audits are completed on time and to an acceptable standard.
  • Analyze financial statements and explain variances versus prior periods to management.
  • Coordinate with other finance functions during the monthly close to ensure timelines are met.
  • Execute month‑end closing activities, including bank and cash reconciliations; timely and accurate posting of journal entries (fixed-asset depreciation, intangible-asset amortization, prepayments, payroll, and other adjustments); and intercompany balance reconciliations.
  • Ensure accounting treatments comply with applicable international standards (e.g., IFRS); advise management on best practices for accounting complex transactions.
  • Lead improvements to internal finance processes.
  • Participate in finance process and system improvement projects as the GL representative, supporting data cleanup for system uploads, balance reclassifications or corrections, and user acceptance testing.
  • Manage and develop a team of General Ledger accountants.
  • Define, track, and report KPIs for the GL function to monitor productivity, efficiency, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Management Accounting
  • CPA preferred (PH CPA is a strong plus, but often optional in BPO/SSC roles)
  • MBA or Master’s units in Finance/Accounting – nice to have
  • 3 - 5 years total accounting experience
  • 2–3+ years in General Ledger / Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • 1–3 years leadership or supervisory experience
