Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Every day at work, our inspectors, auditors, and lab techs use their expertise to help safeguard the products you use every day in your home: from clothes and footwear to toys and baby products, to electronics, appliances, and furniture.

The Quality Leader supports the execution of defined quality standards across the Asia supply base. Based in Hong Kong, this role focuses on hands-on quality control, supplier engagement, inspections, and data analysis. It serves as a key link between suppliers, QC partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Execution & Support

  • Support the implementation of the Client quality standards, manuals, and inspection requirements
  • Ensure products meet brand, safety, and regulatory requirements throughout development and bulk production
  • Support quality improvement initiatives across suppliers and product categories

QC Coordination & Team Support

  • Coordinate day-to-day QC activities, including inline and final inspections
  • Support and guide external QC inspectors or junior QC resources as required
  • Ensure inspection results are accurate, timely, and aligned with the Client standards

Inspections

  • Conduct product inspections on a part-time basis, particularly for high-risk or priority styles
  • Verify workmanship, measurements, materials, and packaging against specifications
  • Follow up on inspection failures and corrective actions

Supplier Engagement & Troubleshooting

  • Work directly with suppliers to communicate quality expectations and requirements
  • Support troubleshooting of quality issues and assist with root-cause analysis
  • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAP) to ensure effective resolution

Supplier Risk & Performance Tracking

  • Support the maintenance of supplier quality risk scoring and performance tracking
  • Assist in identifying repeat issues or high-risk suppliers
  • Escalate quality risks and concerns to the Technical Manager in a timely manner

Audits & Factory Support

  • Support factory quality audits and follow-up actions
  • Assist in evaluating factory capability, processes, and quality systems
  • Track audit findings and ensure closure of corrective actions

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain quality data including inspection results, defect rates, and supplier performance
  • Analyze data to identify trends and recurring issues
  • Prepare basic quality reports and dashboards for internal review

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sourcing, Product Development, and Production teams
  • Support seasonal timelines and bulk readiness
  • Communicate quality risks and updates clearly to internal stakeholders

Experience & Skills

  • 2–3 years’ experience in quality control or quality assurance within apparel, footwear, or home products
  • Practical experience with factory inspections and supplier interaction
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
  • Ability to interpret tech packs, specifications, and inspection criteria
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, and spreadsheets
  • Good communication skills in English and Mandarin

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Textiles, Fashion, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • Formal quality training or certification is a plus but not required
